To get insight as to how the local production system and demand structures may frame employment
opportunities of women
To get insight as to which kinds of economic structures facilitate the integration of women into the labour market, i.e.
(1) whether the local/regional economy is based on industry, service, agriculture, construction, tourism etc.;
(2) in connection with

• the role of informal employment and undeclared work;

• the extent to which there is a high demand of immigrant labour in certain sectors such as female care work;

• the structure and the regulation of the labour markets including the prevalence of fixed-term contracts and the degree of self-employment.
